Athens Nightlife During the Summer : Top Beach Clubs and Bars

Happy Friday Everyone! Since the weekend is upon us, I figured this would be the perfect time to go over some of the best nightlife I experienced this summer in Athens. While most people flock out of the cities and to the islands during summer, there are still some great spots for drinks and dancing to check out in and around the city. In fact, these were some of the funnest nights out I had during my whole trip.

360 Rooftop

Seemingly a tourist trap, but still loved by forgeiners and locals alike. It is a great spot right in the center of Athens with lovely cocktails and perfect views of the Acropolis.

Disclamer: The below beach clubs are all in Alimos. For me, there really was no need to explore further this summer. The clubs were great fun and in prime beach location which really is perfect for summer nights out. The plus is they are all right next to each other, so if one is a bust you have a couple more options to try all in walking distance.

Bolivar

Bolivar brings in awesome DJs from all over the world and is sure to be a fun filled night. I came to see Mahmut Orhan, the DJ behind that famous Game of Thrones remix. Needless to say, it set the bar really high for the rest of my summer outings. The atmosphere is fun, tiki themed, right on the beach, and on the same strip as other beach club options. Be warned: there will be large crowds, especially if a DJ is in town.

Akanthus

Akanthus is another great choice for a summer night out. Right next to Bolivar, Akanthus is also a place to stay out all hours of the night. I would say it definitely attracts more locals and hosts more Greek events than Bolivar.

Penarubia

On the other side of Bolivar, Penarubia is also another newer beachside spot worth checking out.
