Plaid shirtdress…a fall cliches huh? The way I see it, don’t fix what isn’t broken. This is such a classic fall look (granted it was a little earlier on in fall where sandals were still socially appropriate, but you could totally substitute the look with some booties, throw on a denim or leather jacket to have a different kind of look. Sadly my dress from Cloth and Stone is unavailable, which is such a shame because I love the midi-maxi length and love the huge slits that show a little leg. Leave a couple buttons undone with a cute black bralette and this casual look becomes a little spicy. Either way the look is hugely on trend with tons of other great options.
I wore this dress look to Greenport which we visited a second time since earlier in the summer. (Check out my recent post here on some spots to check out over there.) This was just a low key day walking around the marina and lunch at the Cooperage Inn not too far away in the Baiting Hollow area.
The Cooperage Inn once again did not disappoint. This time I ordered the Potato & Onion Crusted Fresh Fluke with sticky jasmine rice, sautéed baby spinach, and lemon basil aioli. Overall this was such a great dish. I loved the aoli and the spinach was simple but still delicious and cooked perfectly. The rice was infused with some ginger, maybe some lemon zest, and was really creamy and tasty too.
A classic fall dessert and super delicious. The desserts in general are crazy good from Cooperage Inn and they change up their options seasonally so you’re always feeling festive. Check out my last review from my visit there here.

Cloth and Stone may no longer be selling the exact dress I have, but they have tons of cute similar options (the tiedye and red mini flannel I attached.) I also of course included other black and white plaid shirtdress options too.
