Finally, for the first time since probably this pandemic hit, I had a girls night out. We went to have dinner at Rocca Cafe in Brooklyn. If you have never been, it definitely surprised me as a very lively and fun atmosphere right on the water, with some great Mediterranean food. While I completely forgot to snap pics of what we ordered I do remember most of it. We had the Avocado Salad, Babaghanoush, Falafel, Kofte Kebab, Adana Kebab, Chicken Shish Kebab and Penne alla Vodka. Not really a food review this time, but I will say I really enjoyed everything we had and would recommend them all.
The real reason why were here is to talk about this on trend fall look that I was obsessing over. Layered gold jewelry seems to be all the rage these days and I am 100% here for it. It’s been a while since I have accessorized this much, so I got excited and even had to hold myself back. (There was more where this came from before I left the house.) But I really think that these layered gold pieces are such a great touch to add for your night out looks and even more casual jeans/cardigan styles too. My medallion necklace and link chokers are some of the items I picked up from that LTK Fall sale I mentioned a little while back, along with these new leather shorts that I have been loving and are also perfect for fall.
I enjoy how these shorts sinch the waist and make me feel extra lengthy. I also hate when faux leather looks and feels really cheap. These are so soft and comfy and definitely don’t look completely fake. They are running a little low in all the sizes in this color way but they also have a darker brown option with a lot more size options. PSA: They are still on SALE right now. The shorts and the layered jewelry are really what made the look. All I added was a tight ribbed white top and was out the door, plus my tassle suede heels which are such oldies and unfortunately don’t have too many comparable options to shop these days.
