My Favorite Summer Lip Product: Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lips

August 19, 2021

Have I been under a rock because I am sitting here wondering how no one has been talking about these lip products.

I have not used anything else since cracking this lipstick/lipgloss hybrid open earlier this summer. They are by far the best one and done lip products that I have tried lately and especially amazing for traveling during the summer.  I am sure I am not the only one in that summer vacation isn’t necessarily when you want to be spending massive amounts of time in creating a full glam look. Or at least that hasn’t been my vibe this year.

Most of my makeup looks have been lighter coverage, glowy, fresh, and generally effortless. However, one staple of my summer makeup looks every year is a juicy glossy lip. Even this summer, I did pack the liquid lip that I planned on pairing with a nice gloss but after trying these there was just no need.

For every look I just lined my lips usually with MUF Wherever Walnut or Pat Mcgrath Structure, and then just added a swipe of this lip product. It provides just enough color and definitely lots of shine. It is nothing too opaque and my lips felt so smooth and plush every time. I also love how they keep my lips hydrated. When I first tried this out I did find it a little bit sticky but the sensation went away and it was no where near a deal breaker. I also love the subtle Coconut scent/flavor it has.

The formula doesI currently own Coconut and Rose but I’ll definitely be going back for the rest of the colors.

Let me know if a makeup tutorial using these products is something you would want to see from me? What have been some of your summer staple products?
