Valentines Day date night outfit themes generally remain the same. Textures! You know, the ones that feel as nice as they look. As with last year (and likely every year for the end of time) these are trends that are always V-Day appropriate. A velvet look or a slinky slip outfit definitely will catch the attention of your significant other. The rest can be kept simple. A one trap sandal shoe, a plain boot or bootie, or barefoot if you’re going to be home. They are also trends that transcend seasonally. Your velvet can be recycled for a girls night out throughout the winter, and your satin pieces are great year round and can be dressed up or down like the Satin skirts that carried me through all my fall days this year, and will likely resurrect in the spring too.
Valentines day definitely tends to be that day of the year where people are out to look their best. Whether you’re dressing up for that special someone, yourself, revenge pics (Insert Kermit thats none of my business meme), people are doing it up, and rightfully so.
Whether a satin dress or this feminine trench, satin offers a an elegant touch to any look no matter how you incorporate it.
Red Velvet
Velvet is just that texture that has sex appeal to it. It involves no thinking, no accessories and regardless of which cut, style, length you go for… it’s doing the job of making a statement. Black is obviously such a go to color – for this and really any trend – but the red changes it up and is perfect if you are really embracing the V-Day theme.
