My names Angelica ERAnovic. Get it haha.

Die Hard New Yorker and Modern Day Carrie Bradshaw.

I guess I am just the cliché fashion loving, restaurant hopping, travel enthusiast  with a fear of mediocrity and perpetual curiosity.
Devoted to avoiding the average and adamant on living life to the fullest.

Wow, my first ever about me. I look on this and smile, at almost how juvenile it seems but simultaneously, I look upon it with real pride. 2026 officially marks 5 years of writing in ERA en Vogue and what a rewarding experience of growth this has been.

I started this whole journey after a devistating family loss, when I realized life is short, and there is no time like the present to go after what you want. With a background in the fashion industry, I wanted to create a platform that my own — combining all my passions : fashion , beauty, travel, food etc and kind of give my perspective in providing inspiration for hollistic lifestyle and the intersection of all these topics. I have to say, I am really not about influencer culure — I find it to be artificial, a total numbers game, full of phonys and honestly poor quality. I wanted to shift out of that and create something that was driven in experience — becasue thats what we are all after right — the experience of how something will feel like.

My first NYFW on the editorial side of things — February 2020

People always ask me how I got started, and it was just that, I simply started one day. I bought the domain, and wrote my first post. When I started I thought I had momentum, participating in my first New York Fashion Week on the media side of things and attending some really great shows.

Cue COVID and a complete shutdown. If you are a new entrepreneur you can imagine that with a setback as big as a pandemic, it can feel a little hopeless. When you already don’t even know where to begin, add these kinds of circumstances and you’re all but out of luck.

However I tried to see things through the mindset like the chinese symbol I heard of , where there is chaos there is opportunity, and I just continued to pivot, finding just a little more edge in my style and creative writing ideas, just a little more consistency in creating a schedule that worked for me. Enough to build up a portfolio to have something to talk about when I was back in the game.

My first pair of gifted leggings from a no name brand

If I have any big piece of advice, for budding entrepreneurs, you do have to be a “Yes Man” for a bit. I said yes to every opportunity that came my way, putting myself in rooms with all kinds of people because all it takes is one, to open the doors to a whole new series of opportunity. Over and over and over again.

Entrepreneurship, in every industry but especially in this one tons of networking. Your network is your net worth and you are required to have the guts to have the confidence to put yourself out there and make the most of the opportunities you are given. As simple as “What Brings You Here” is an opening that you can use, but you need to make the most of the room. Don’t forget to follow up with everyone you meet. Show genuine gratitude and nurture those relationships because it will be the catalyst for everything going forward.

One of my first events (H&M x Giambattista Valli store party), with one of my first friends in the industry Jon Harari, CEO of Windowswear, who I really owe a foot in the door to this industry to.

Fast forward to present day. The city is very much alive again, dozens of events taking place waiting to be cherry picked. New social media platforms like Tiktok are ever more relevant, as well as the existing ones of Youtube, Pinterest, and the algorithms across the board… don’t get me started.

From receiving gifted leggings from a no-name brand and being over the moon about it to high end gifts, rubbing elbows with executives, designers, influencers etc, invites to exclusive events, being photographed by Getty Images, BFA, mentioned in Glamour Magazine, The Daily Front Row etc. is has been quite the evolution of a career but frankly, I am just getting started. Good or bad thing, but I don’t look at this success, I just call it working — step by step towards my goals and ultiamtely a successful and fulfilled life.

Unfortunately along the way, life continued to happen — and while I am not quite ready to share the events publically its safe to say I have a little more that running this business to deal with on the daily.

Yet, here I am showing up, Monday, Wednesday and Friday here and on all the other platforms mentioned as well as a new initiative I started in June 2025, the addition of the ERA EN VOGUE Consulting branch.

I won’t pretend that starting your own venture is easy and there will be multiple times that you want to give up because there is no instant gratification. But I always lived by the mantra I will find the way or make the way and continue to do so because at the end of the day, I really do feel like I am living the cliche “when you love what you do you never work a day in your life”. A work in progress for sure, and no where near the goals and ambitions I am aiming for but it comes down to showing up, learning, pivoting, taking action again.

I don’t think there will ever be a finish line. This goes far beyond me. But I am grateful for how far I come, and the journey ahead. Happy 2026 everyone! I can’t wait to spend the year together.
