Fashion Week is never just fashion week.
This wasn’t my busiest season — life happens, and sometimes it happens a bit intensely. But fashion will always endure, always continue, always give you a reason to show up. A life that doesn’t pause just because the tents are up is still a life worth dressing for. And in showing up anyway, I remembered exactly why I do this.
Here’s an honest look at my NYFW FW26 — the shows, the outfits, the moments between.
The Shows
Frederick Anderson — FW26 Runway
My first stop of the week was Frederick Anderson at Nebula, and as always, he did not disappoint. There’s a reason I never miss this show — Frederick has a singular command of femininity that feels earned rather than imposed. His FW26 collection was no exception and a response to the blue and darker times we are currently facing in society.

Norma Kamali — Presentation
If Frederick Anderson is drama, Norma Kamali is conviction. Her presentation was bustling — a room full of energy that matched the collection itself. She’s working with the silhouettes that have defined her career, but this season there was a distinct French influence, loud leopard moments, lingerie-like lace accents, and that particular brand of undone sensuality that feels both timeless and completely of-the-moment. There’s something deeply reassuring about a woman who has been in this industry for decades and still has something new to say with the vocabulary she built. I left thinking about longevity — in fashion, in work, in life.

Patbo — Runway
Patbo was heritage embodied. The location alone set the tone — Bar Calico, the boho-spirited bar inside the Freehand Hotel, felt like a deliberate choice, a stage that matched the story being told. This collection was a full tribute to the Brazilian boho movement of the 1970s: paisley-patterned ruffled maxi hems, generous fringe, intricate beading that carried all the way down to the chunky platform heels. It was a renaissance — another era resurrected with chic and inventive perspective. Pure joy to sit in that room and watch it unfold.
The Street Style Moment: Fforme
I also made time to capture some street style outside Fforme — one of the more quietly compelling brands in the current conversation. The energy outside their show was exactly what I love about fashion week when it’s working: people who clearly got dressed for themselves, not for anyone else. That’s always the most interesting street style to capture.
What I Wore
Day One — Frederick Anderson
For my first show, I leaned into the mood of the collection before I even saw it — a brown suede midi dress in an all-monochrome palette. Chocolate, caramel, espresso layered together. It felt like the right kind of armor for the week ahead: grounded, deliberate, warm.

Day Two — Norma Kamali
For Norma, I went tailored. A velvet suit in a neutral tone — the caffeinated cool girl energy I captioned it with on Instagram felt exactly right. Getting dressed that morning was one of the more intentional acts of the week. Sometimes choosing your outfit is the first decision you make that reminds you who you are.

What I’m Taking Into Spring
These designers know who they are — and they do what they do well. That’s the throughline I keep coming back to.
Frederick Anderson is adjusting femininity for the times. When things feel uncertain and the world is heavy, he takes his signature approach — dressing women beautifully, powerfully — and applies it to the now. The clothes feel like an answer to the moment.
Patbo went the opposite direction and found something equally true: back in time, a renaissance of another era brought forward with a chic and inventive eye. There’s confidence in that move. You don’t look backward unless you know exactly what you’re looking for.
And Norma Kamali keeps bridging worlds — the classics and what has always worked, met with modern flair. She’s proof that a strong point of view only gets more interesting with time.
What I will carrying into Spring is more than just trends — but a mindset, and a way of life.
