Beaches On The Dalmatian Coast: Croatia

In my humble opinion – Real talk, no bias. You cannot go wrong when choosing a beautiful beach in Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast is filled with tons of them. I guess when choosing where to go it really is a matter of convenience of which is closer to where you decide to stay, whether you like crowds and liveliness, beach bars etc, or something more quiet and family oriented. Since I return to Croatia most summers, I am ever exploring the possibilities. These are the three I hit this summer, all driving distance from Split (an hour max), and there is something for everyone.

Primosten

I would say this would be the quietest and most family oriented beach of the three mentioned. About an hour drive from Split this beach that I visited in Primosten has a beautiful little walk through the pines until you arrive at a gorgeous long beach with a bunch of different coves to choose from. Where we stayed there were some cabanas and umbrellas for rent but no major crowds and no beach bars that were directly by the water. There were however a few to choose from and other restaurants and places to visit in the town on the other side of the parking lot.

Duce

An instagram junkies dream. This beach in Duce has gorgeous waters and is especially picturesque with the swings and water hammocks. There are a couple beach bars in the area but nothing particularly wild or loud. I arrived later in the day so it wasn’t that crowded either. This beach is about a half hour from Split.

Znjan

Znjan is definitely the loudest and most crowded of the three. It is located in the city of Split and has tons of beach bars and places to rent lounge chairs. It is one of the two beaches I have visited in Split (the other is Bacvice – which has sand if that is what your into) but Znjan is a lot cleaner in my opinion.

Shopping

The bikinis shown above are older and out of style but I wanted to include some of my favorite triangle bikini styles that are available this season! As it is the end of the summer season, a bunch of these are also on sale. 1. I follow a number of bloggers from Croatia and I have to say it looks SO beautiful. I would love to travel here one day. I wish I could move to Paris (my step family lives there) and then travel to other parts of Europe. You look like you had a great time!
