While on your trip to Dublin or Ireland in general. I cannot recommend taking some time out to visit the Cliffs Of Moher enough.
The Cliffs of Moher are a breathtaking natural wonder with the most incredible and surreal panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Aran Isalnds and Galway Bay, and even the Twelve Pins Mountain Range, standing 700 feet tall and stretching over 5 miles along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Whether you’re hiking along the cliff edge or simply soaking in the scenery, the Cliffs of Moher provide an unforgettable experience of Ireland’s wild, untamed beauty.
With the intense winds and crashing waves, there is a serenity in visiting but also a rush of exhiliration viewing the sheer vertical drop into the ocean and little to no barriers between you and the fall. It truly feels like you are at the edge of the world.
One of the best ways to experience the Cliffs of Moher is exploring one or more of the several walking trails along the cliffs, each offering stunning views from various vantage points. There is also a Visitor Center offering exhibits on the history, geology, and wildlife on the cliffs. One of the highlights of the center is the interactive O’Brien’s Tower, which gives you an even higher vantage point from which to admire the views and a great spots for photos. If you’re a bird watcher this is also a hub for a wide variety of birds and the cliff provide nesting grounds for.
