Is wedding season still in full effect? Because it still feels like it to me. You all may have guessed that a little black dress is my go to for almost every occasion. It never steers me wrong, is always flattering, and so versatile. This LBD highlights the sweetheart neckline and the deep slit, which is incredibly sexy and feminine in all its simplicity. No beading, lace, or any extra elements needed, although it can never hurt if that’s what you’re working with. The midi length also works great since it is not as formal as a gown but still a little more elegant than a typical cocktail dress.
The way that I spiced up this little black dress look was with all the accessories, and by that I mean the good kind. You grandmas gold and diamond pieces that really add an element of glamour but that are still dainty and not overwhelming. After all if you can’t break out your best at a wedding, when do you finally wear those more expensive special occasion pieces. I layered a bunch. I stacked a few gold bracelets and added a necklace and earrings. Since none of the jewelry was bulky I found I could wear them all without looking overdone or gaudy. Since a lot of the jewelry I wore was gold, I went with the simple gold python heel, but of course you can wear black pair, a pump, or match the metal of your look.
Another fun accessory to add was a jewel hair clip which I put on to spice up my flat hair looking hair. Once I was at the wedding though, I realized it was definitely a popular trend and I loved how it completed the look overall.
