NOWinNYC: September Recap

NOW IN NYC event recap september 2025

After a summer hiatus from the NYC event circuit, September came back with a surge of energy. The city shifted from zero to two hundred almost overnight, and this month was no exception. I was lucky to be part of some truly special moments and experiences—here’s a quick recap.

New York Fashion Week

The usual September lineup always includes a bunch of fashion week related events. I won’t be too repetitive here as there is there an entire Fashion Week page to check out specific shows, events, and other recaps.

Faena Hotel Opens

The legendary Faena universe has officially landed in New York. Known for redefining luxury in Miami and Buenos Aires, the new Faena Hotel NYC brings the brand’s signature mix of art, theater, and unapologetic glamour to the heart of Manhattan. Expect bold design, immersive cultural programming, and that unmistakable Faena flair—where every detail feels like part of a grand performance. The opening marks not just another hotel debut, but the arrival of a full-on lifestyle destination, cementing Faena as a cultural force in the city. For more details about my experience at the Hotels opening event and Grace Faena’s collection launch see here.

Take a Banana For The Ride On Broadway

This show was so exceptional. I really cannot say enough good things about it. It made you want to laugh, cry, and contemplate and was definitely worth checking out. It closed this past weekend but fingers crossed it makes a Broadway return. I enjoyed it so much I included it in a dedicated post which you can find here.

Initio Launch Of Can’t Get Enough

An event so special you will see and hear more this Friday in a dedicated blog post but until then, the jist is Initio launched a brand new fragrance to their Cardinal collection during an intimate soiree at Classic Car Club Manhattan.

Of Corsica! Opens At Pier 57

The view from the rooftop at Miru

Pier 57 just got a serious glow-up with the grand opening of three standout concepts: Of Corsica! NYC, Miru, and El Bar. Each space brings its own flavor to the Hudson waterfront—Of Corsica! with its Mediterranean-meets-Manhattan flair, Miru with elevated Japanese coastal dining, and El Bar offering the kind of cocktail culture that makes every night feel like a celebration. Opening night set the tone with energy, elegance, and a view that only Pier 57 could deliver—cementing it as NYC’s newest go-to for dining, sipping, and scene-making.
