Another equally important aspect of the New York Fashion Week scene and line-up is attending the events, parties, and after-parties that pop up. Here are some that I checked out this year.
Latin Ignition Produced by Emilio Estefan
Acclaimed producer Emilio Estefan, who has discovered the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and more, hosted an incredible event at the Guggenheim Museum. There was a press pre-event where interviews and cocktails were passed around for a select few, a fashion show featuring designers Alvin Valley • Laura Garcia • Nabys Vielman • Cesar Galindo. To close out the night there was a lovely reception in the museum with live music by Latin Group Los Rabanes.
Kenneth Cole 40th Anniversary Party
An incredible evening celebrating this huge milestone for the Kenneth Cole brand. On top of the brands offices in Chelsea, for 40 years, Cole has contributed immensely to the fashion community but also an activist towards many social issues including: AIDS, the war in Ukraine, and most recently mental health. We celebrate “40 Years on Purpose.”
Sergio Hudson Afterparty at Alligator Pear
Sergio Hudson hosted a fun night of music and cocktails at Alligator Pear for attendees including industry insiders, models, and celebrities.
Frederick Anderson Afterparty At Hearsay
Frederick Anderson hosted his afterparty at the brand new NYC nightclub Hearsay in the meatpacking district. With lines around the block, this was the party to be at to close out NYFW.
Sarah Flint 10 Year Anniversary Party
A beautiful evening celebrating 10 years of Sarah Flint. The luxury shoe designer held a party with cocktails, bites and a beautiful live music performance. Sarah Flint shoes added to the decor including best-selling styles and a preview of the upcoming collections.
