NYFW: Verdavainne Spring 2024 Collection

It was the perfect afternoon of luxury at Casa Cipriani celebrating designer Cyril Verdavainnes and his self-titled luxury fashion brands debut to the NYFW calendar.

With the red carpet rolled out, this divine location was the perfect setting for the glamorous and show topping evening wear displayed before the guests. Bold and elegant are adjectives that describe the collection perfectly – seemingly contrasting adjectives that epitomize the garments, with structure and architecture from the voluminous skirts and sharp shoulder silhouettes while still allowing for movement and fluidity. The long sashes added an extreme touch of glamour, making the garments very extravagant and yet approachable as the form and beautiful use of color is left to do the talking rather than being overtaken with busy prints.

Other than the play of these unique commanding statement silhouettes, the use of color was definitely a stand out to the presentation with a wide variety of statement shades such as neon yellow, chartreuse and fuchsia pink, as well as a few high contrast patterns in the lineup.

Of course, I need to mention a spotlight on the stunning finale piece. “A breathtaking wedding gown in chalk white that featured a halter neckline and a self-appliqué sash made of delicate white poppy flower petals, creating an ethereal and romantic masterpiece akin to a moving marble sculpture.” It left all the guests in awe.

In between walk-throughs, guests mingled with cocktails, bites, and took advantage of plenty of photo ops. Verdavainne, what an incredible introduction to the NYFW lineup. We are so happy to have you and look forward for what is to come.
