Rosie Assoulin connects us back to the present moment with a poetic display of the whimsical, colorful and beautiful designs.
She included embroideries in vivid hues, soft pastels, and retro patterns and candy stripes in contrast to some more structural shoulders and more tailored pieces. I think the beauty of this collection was that it was perfectly imperfect. While there wasn’t a clear motif, there seemed to be cohesion in all the pieces.
This was 10th year anniversary of the brand and this collection felt personal. The concept behind Assoulines presentation was as beautiful as the collection displayed. It was a reflection on the journey over this decade, which, while never perfect, is one that sees blessings in the challenges and an opportunity to find growth, strength, and happiness. As a spring-summer collection, it also draws on the fact the Spring is a time of blossoming, renewal, knowing that it is impermanent and that we have to stay present, enjoy and celebrate the moment
