Perfect Porterhouse…With The Sides And Dessert Of Course

You know those recipes that are so simple but they just work and you know you can count on even in last minuet situations. That is in a nut shell what these recipes were for my family and I. The ingredients are simple, and the prep and cooking is easy even for beginner chefs. Yet the results are elegant and impressive. If I am being honest, what really excited me most was the desert. These poached pears in red wine felt like a 5 star restaurant level dessert, and was so easy to do! They were SO delicious and I even saved the extra filling to put in a french toast or as a spread on pound cake. I also must admit that I made them pretty half assed and they STILL came out incredible. This is definitely a recipe I will be returning to. With everyone taking up new cooking hobbies, now is the perfect time to time to try these out!

Recipes

Bistecca al Fiorentina

Potatoes dal Delfina

Sauteed Broccoli Rab with Vinegar
If you are unfamiliar with cooking Broccoli Rab, be warned they DO need more cooking than what is suggested. I might also recommend boiling before you begin sautéing. Also be sure to trim the stems completely, they are very dense.

  1. The potatoes look yum! If I was allowed to cook for others instead of self isolate this is definitely something I’d rustle up! xo
