Happy New Year!!! I hope you all had an amazing holiday season. I am so excited for 2020 and to be back with some new content for you all. With the craziness of the holidays, I have had a little bit of a late start so please bear with me as I get into the swing of things again. I am also preparing for another amazing trip, but after that it is full speed ahead. More on the trip coming soon, so stay tuned!
Now back to the scheduled programming…
As many of us know, midtown isn’t really saturated with nice places for sit down dinners. Bazar is one of the better spots I discovered, conveniently walking distance from Penn Station. The overall experience was really great. Good food, such a friendly wait staff, and “cool” ambience.

SO fresh and delicious. You can’t go wrong with Oysters.

Tomatoes, Olives, Capers, Celeriac Puree
Might be my favorite thing on the menu. I ordered it both times I came. It is just a perfectly cooked octopus and I love the puree underneath!

Tiger Shrimp, Garlic Confit, Toast Points
Super flavorful, but definitely heavy on the garlic and rosemary flavors so be warned if thats not your thing. I however enjoy that, so this was another winning dish for me.

Pita Bread, Garlic Confit
This was the only thing that fell short for me here at Bazar. I really didn’t taste any truffle whatsoever and the consistency wasn’t as smooth as I’d like. Not totally bad, but not something I would recommend over other things on the menu.

Truffle Aoili
The Croquettes were a solid order. I love the aoili and wish they served more of it, but it is overall a really nice bite.

Scallops, Octopus, Shrimps, Cod, Mussles, Chorizo In Saffron & Lobster Broth

Scallops, Octopus, Shrimps, Cod, Mussles, Chorizo In Saffron & Lobster Broth
This is a pretty delicious paella. I love how it is a little on the spicy side and all the fish was cooked well also.

This chocolate dessert was so rich and creamy. A nice finale for an overall great dinner.

Whi knew that Manhattan was a fine dining desert?
No midtown does not have a lot of great spots to go to it can be a challenge. But yes this does indeed sound decent. And OMG that dessert looks amazing. Have you ever been to Frankies? Their Creme Brulee is amazing!
