K Beauty Brand Belif Aqua Bomb Skincare Review

May is also known as (AAPI- Asian Americans and Pacific Islander) Heritage month and the timing could not be more perfect. I recently gathered up a bunch of empty products I have tried from Belif, a widely known and loved K Beauty Brand. Korean skincare has become such a phenomenon in the states and I think the Aqua bomb is one of the OG products of this revolution.

The brand claims to combine time tested apothocary herbal traditions to create natural and effective forumalas for the skin. True herbs are the main ingredients. Some of these include, oat seed, raspberry and wild indigo amongst others. They are packed with antioxidents with properties that are skin calming, anti-trouble and anti aging benefits.

Highlighted Ingredients: - Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla Vulgaris): Known for its skin-nurturing properties. - Ceramide 3: Helps skin retain water. - Glycerin: Helps maintain skin's moisture levels

For: dryness, dullness and uneven texture

Gel like formulas tend to be my preference as I previously have been known to have acne prone skin and find that these lighterweight formulas do better as to prevent clogging my pores. This moisturizer works great and still packs a punch of hyrdration without being heavy or greasy. I did not break out and also found that it worked great under makeup.

Highlighted Ingredients: - Lady's Mantle: Minimizes the look of pores and helps remove free radicals from skin while supporting natural cell turnover. - Napiers Aqua Formula: Supports hyaluronic acid. formulated with amino acids and glycerin-based cleansing agents that gently remove makeup and impurities, and don't strip the skin of moisture. For:Dryness, Pores, Dullness and uneven texture

This is a great basic and gentle cleanser that lathers up really well and doesn’t feel like it leaves behind a film. My skin definitely felt clean after it as well without feeling stripped. I used this as a two and one to remove my makeup as well and it worked great for that process also.

belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb

Highlighted Ingredients: - Comfrey Leaf: Acts as an ultra-moisturizing herb historically used to heal dry, calloused hands. - Oat Extract: Contains skin-soothing properties. - Panthenol: Helps skin attract and hold moisture to improve its look and feel. For: Dullness, Uneven Texture, and Dryness

The more richer moisturizer formula of the two options I tried, I used this more in the winter time when my skin gets even dryer than normal. We may have had a rocky start and I noticed a few pimples pop up in the beginning but as my skin got used to it I no longer had any issues. This also provides great hydration to the skin and works great under makeup also.

belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb

-Tiger Grass (Pennywort): Soothes skin. -Comfrey Leaf: Detoxifies skin, leaving it smooth, soft, and clear.

I find this to be a hybrid between a richer under eye cream and a gel like formula but one thing is for sure it hydrates. So much so depending on your sensitivity it may cause milia (the little bumps under the eyes) so I would use a very small amount of it.

belif Hungarian Water Essence

-Rosemary: Detoxifies skin, leaving it smooth, soft, and clear.

I only had a small sample size of this product but I did really enjoy using it in combination with my Belif products. While I didn’t notice a huge difference when I used it on it’s own, when paired with one of the moisturizers it provides a noticible increase in how hydrated and dewey my skin felt.

My final thoughts on these products is that it really is a great skincare line and I think a wonderful beginner friendly option for those just starting to get into skincare as all the products seem to be straightforward, basic and gentle. All the products lived up to the claims – in this case a major focus of hydration. I would repurchase all of the products and would be interested to try more from the line.
