Faena Family Takes Over New York During New York Fashion Week

The Faenas have taken over NYC. After summer vacation, New York Fashion Week promptly brings backs buzz into the city. But there was another moment that really stole the show this year. They say when the stars align, art, fashion and hospitality can merge into something almost mystical. In 2025, that alignment came in the form of the Faena family expanding its influence in New York City — not just in hotels, but in couture, in retail, in immersive design. Two recent moments mark this takeover: Grace Faena’s Fall/Winter ’25 collection presentation at Printemps New York, and the grand opening of Faena New York in West Chelsea.

The launch of the collection was an intimate cocktail reception of VIP guests at Printemps Salon. The collection itself is on brand with her demi-couture heritage adding a little Miami glam with materials like crystals, pearls, vintage textiles, cabretta leather and silk jersey, as well as incorporating eye-catching bright colors and metallic.

The Faena Hotel

If a gallery and a hotel had a baby, it would be the Faena Hotel. “The Cathedral” lobby: a monumental mural titled Ascension, A Sephirotic Journey by Argentine artist Diego Gravinese, curved walls, gold spiral staircase impresses upon entering. Then there is the living room with twin art deco style bars, terraces overlooking the Highline, animal print motifs, and strong visual art.

Some other special rooms: El Secreto (a nightlife den), La Cava (wine cellar), a Keith Haring work in a gallery hallway, and upcoming amenities: Tierra Santa Healing House spa, a cabaret-style Faena Theater slated for Spring 2026.

This hotel project not only underscores a fresh take on hospitality but a celebration of art, luxury and it’s intersection: it aims to be a total environment, an experience.
