Fathers Day Dinner: Beer Can Chicken Recipe

Happy Belated Fathers Day to all the dads out there!

This years Fathers Day dinner was a showstopper. All his favorite things: beer, bacon, and beans.

These recipes were fantastic and such hits amongst my whole family, especially dad. Aside from being a great conversation piece, the chicken had a great spice rub under the chicken skin and the beer and garlic steamed through during the cooking process making for a flavorful and juicy chicken. Also cooking the chicken upright allows the chicken to cook evenly through all sides. The rice was also a crowd pleaser, filled with tons of different ingredients (onions, garlic, peppers, ground beef, beans, and spices). All together it definitely packed a flavor punch, and was even enjoyed by those who aren’t such bean lovers. Finally the olives made such a great well balanced snack as I cooked. The aromatics such as rosemary and garlic as well as the peppers and carrots added such a nice touch to the warmed olives.
