Fourth Of July Outfit Inspo At New NYC Summer Pop Up Gilligans

If you can’t make it to Montauk and you are in need of fun weekend plans, may I suggest the new summer pop up in Soho. Gilligans is quite appropriately named as this bar feels very Gilligans Island to me. It is like a little secret garden green escape covered in tropical plants, old sailing decor and is just an overall fun ambiance for summer. The wait staff is even dressed in cute little nautical outfits. They also have some delicious cocktails. I had the frozen watermelon margarita and highly recommend it as well as a very intriguing menu which unfortunately I didn’t get to check out this time but would love to on another occasion. I think it is a great place to spend a summer weekend and particularly a great plan for Fourth of July.

Speaking of 4rth weekend, nothing says a Fourth of July look like a red, white, and blue ensemble. Admittedly though, the outright patriotic numbers are not really my style. I tend to lean towards a more subdued but still festive look. In this look, the blue and white are still prominent and personally I think the red ties in on my nails just fine. In general a fun tip I always have its using nail colors and nail art if that’s your thing to add a pop of color and fun element to any look. I also think the addition of a red lipstick would compliment nicely as well, depending on just how festive you want to go. While you could wear any kind of white denim or slacks I love the nautical sailor style of the pants I wore and I think that it really speaks summer, Gilligans Bar, and Fourth Weekend to me. Finally I leave you with one warning. Gilligans is an outdoor only location with only some cover by the bar area and the umbrellas over the tables. If you do plan on visiting, make sure sunshine is in the forecast.
