After the Sephora VIB sale you may have saw that I stocked up on some very new to Sephora and even new to the makeup market. I also found that many of these brands were French, and it dawned on me that we are in a period where French makeup and French fashion or Parisian specifically are at the forefront of daily trends. So I decided to try out some of these products with this aesthetic as my inspiration.
When I think of French Makeup I think of simplistic and chic. That little bitten red lip or Popsicle stained effect. Perhaps a small cat eye flick, natural satin skin neither leaning too matte or too dewy. Get ready for a lot of capital letters in this review because I am feeling quite passionately about these products.
Isamaya Microbial Gel Face Primer
Claims:

This primer by Isamaya. I mean WOW. If you are looking for wet skin. Not slightly dewy, not healthy hydration but wet looking glassy, porcelain skin, then this product is for you. I think what also impresses me most about this product is the fact that it almost gives you this glass film of a layer (hear me out) in a way that dries down, completely and just gives you a glowing mask as a canvas. It almost dries down giving you an invisible sheet mask of flawless skin to work with.

The Givenchy Prism Foundation is stunning – STUNNING. I think that this might be one of my favorite foundations to date. I literally fell in love with the first swipe. It truly just makes the skin look flawless. It has a pore-less natural but healthy finish. I cannot say enough good things about this other than it looks like seamless second skin. Same goes for the prism concealer, it just melts into the skin perfectly with a good coverage considering how lightweight it is and does not settle into any fine lines or wrinkles.
Violette_FR Bisou Balm Sheer Matte Lipstick

Urban Decay 24/7 Glaze On Shimmer Liquid Eyeshadow
Claims:

The Urban Decay cream shadow is one I have mixed feelings about. If you watch my Youtube first impressions you’ll know that I accidentally ordered the wrong shade. However I gave the product a shot. My initial reaction was yes love it and I felt like it was giving that glassy look on the eyes as well. However, I realized over time the color payoff really dissipated and you’re left with just glitter flecks. Also while I like the brush for applying, the way the packaging is situated its hard to actually get the product out. I still do intend on trying the different shade to see if it is something a bit more “special”.
Final Thoughts:
I think overall I am thoroughly impressed with these new base products especially. They made my skin look and feel phenomenal and lasted well over a very long day. The lip products will also be a staple for the season and a go-to for natural and no makeup makeup looks. The eyeshadow is so far not my favorite but the jury is still out while I try a different shade and continue to test it. My thoughts for now are if you are into more chunky glitter looks this may be for you.
