How To Keep Those New Years Resolutions Past February First

motivation podcasts

Many people write their goals down for the New year but few continue to pursue them past the first few weeks of January. Often times, it is not due to lack of capabilities, but just in part to a weak mindset. The fix? Feed your mind with positive content regularly.

I find podcasts to be an easy way to do that as they are filled with tons of information that can have a transformative impact. The best part is you are able to listen in during your free time or even have it on in the background during your commute, work, etc, – trust me, your subconscious is listening. Here are some of my favorites for motivation and productivity.

Mel Robbins

I love how Mel Robbins is so relateable. With bestselling books and a top podcast on itunes, she continues to be such a down to earth person facing the same issues we all do regularly. I love how her podcast feels like a phone conversation between friends and that it is approachable in style. The methods she suggests are simple and easy to do, it almost seems silly, but have profound impact in shifting your mindset and creating new habits.

Trent Shelton

If you ever need a hype man, Trent Shelton is your guy. I always feel like I am in a fired up locker room. There is almost never an excuse not to listen because they are so short, you can have it playing in the background as you brush your teeth and get ready for work, or during your commute. However, each episode’s message is delivered with so much passion that it easily sinks in and and can set a really great tone to start your day.

Max Out Ed Mylett

Ed Mylett is a no-bullshit kind of guy and that is exactly how he treats his podcast. Its about living life to the fullest and “maxing” out, as has he calls it, and he really does get down to the knitty gritty from some of the most successful people and lays out how they got to where they are and what it takes to really “max out” your life. I really enjoy how focused the conversations are while also hitting on major helpful points.
