It is on trend every year but especially this year, one of the most popular searches and trends has been white dresses. Needless to say, a simple white dress can be styled in an unlimited number of ways. This mock neck is also really on trend too and is a cool remix on a typical turtleneck. Definitely the better choice for Spring as its a little freer on the neckline.
As things transition into warmer weather fun pops of color or white monochrome will definitely be huge. However with it still being a little chilly and open toe wasn’t yet the way to go, I figured I’d style it with a chocolate brown bootie, and my new brown belt to match it. I love how the belt gives a little more shape to the dress too. Chocolate brown is another popular color lately that I am sure we’ll be seeing more of in the Fall, so this kind of look can definitely be recycled for then as well.
Limani Roslyn
I wore the look to Limani in Roslyn, a gorgeous and trendy Greek restaurant with beautiful ambiance and delicious food. It is on the bougie side but we went for Sunday brunch and this outfit was totally appropriate. They also have a second location in Manhattan which I haven’t yet been to, but I am sure would be an equally great option. Here is a rundown of some of what we ordered.

Tunisia; Grilled sashimi quality octopus
My favorite thing on the menu, this octopus was soft, tender and delicious. The pepper caper relish was a nice touch too and gave it a bright flavor.

PEI; Prepared with white wine, dill, garlic and parsley
These muscles were also super tasty and light. Not overwhelming as in the best muscles I ever ate, but also still good enough to order.

Three sautΓ©ed jumbo shrimp in a tomato and feta sauce
Delicious. Some HUGE well cooked shrimp in a sauce that you’ll want to soak up with some pita afterward. We also had the regular fried saganaki (not photographed) but was also tasty and a Greek staple.

Rings of fresh local squid, lightly fried or grilled (we got the fried)
Can’t go wrong, just your standard and classic fried calamari.

Arugula with goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette
A great salad and perfectly dressed, the creamy goat cheese was a wonderful addition.

Paper thin cut zucchini and eggplant served with lightly fried kefalograviera cheese and tzatziki
Another great light starter that I am noticing has become a regular order on my outings, especially at these Greek spots. This one was not definitely disappointing.
Dessert
Usually when I go out, I never have room for dessert. I am SO thankful I did this time because these were all exceptional. Like wow, every single one. Although if you want the cliffs notes version and need to narrow it down, the Ekmek and Chocolatina hands down.

Greek fried dough puffs, honey, walnuts and cinnamon
Who doesn’t love fried dough in honey.

Walnut sponge cake, cinnamon, cloves, honey syrup served with vanilla ice cream
Sometimes karidopita can fall short with people not putting enough spices or drying it out. This one was perfection.

Shredded phyllo, custard, and pistachio whip cream
This was the biggest surprise of the day! This ekmek was delicious! Creamy but with a little crunch and so tasty too!

Warm chocolate soufflΓ© served with roasted figs and fig ice cream
A gooey, chocolately, lava cake…. You cant stop me. What was also really impressive was this homemade fig ice cream. I could tell how fresh it was and it was a great compliment to the cake. (The ice cream that came with the Karidopita was also delicious.
