How To: The Sheer Mesh Top Trend At Grana Jamesport

Organic and locally sourced restaurant Granna on the North Fork of Long Island is such an exceptional spot serving up wood fire pizzas and homemade pastas. For starters the indoor decor is beautiful. Imagine dining in a little art gallery in Italy with floor to ceiling wall murals and paintings hanging from the ceiling. It almost transports you to a small trattoria in Italy but with a more modern feel, and the food absolutely did not disappoint. What I loved about the cuisine was that it definitely stayed true to the Italian roots, but all three dishes were quite unlike anything else you would get in a typical Italian restaurant. Everything was unique, inventive, well executed, and most importantly delicious.

Grilled Artichoke Salad: Arugula, Red Onion, Imported Shaved Pecorino, Lemon Artichoke Vinaigrette

This artichoke salad was perfection, with tender delicious artichokes and a perfectly seasoned arugula salad. While there are a bunch of great salad options, I definitely can vouch for this one.

Fettuccini Aragostsa: Sauteed lobster with roasted cherry tomatoes, white wine, herb cream, house made fettuccini, garnished with crispy shrimp

Pasta cooked to the perfect consistency, well coated with sauce, and they were definitely not stingy on the lobster. The crispy fried shrimp was also a really nice addition and added good texture. This dish was so flavorful and while there may be lobster or seafood pastas out there, this one is simply done right and worth ordering.

Casonvelli alla Bergamo: A sweet and savory ravioli of roasted meats (beef, pork) blended with herbs, spices, pear, raisin, amaretti, sauced with pancetta, rosemary, pear, butter, white wine.

Something you definitely won’t find out there is this Casonvelli alla Bergamo ravioli. The flavors in here are truly a medley of sweet and savory flavors, and each bite gives you a new profile to play with on your palette. It is truly a unique and delicious dish and in my opinion is a must order.

Lignum Wine

While the items I recommended are tried and true, I think you will be satisfied no matter what you order here. Overall we had an amazing experience at Grana and will definitely be returning.

Update we went back to explore more of the menu! Check out our second experience here.

If you saw my recent haul (click here) I picked up this sheer mesh top from Lulus. In the haul post I had given some other styling options in which it could be worn too. While things may be warming up now, New York definitely still is chilly especially at night, so the leather pants are great for the colder weather and make it more of a glamorous night out look as well. I also went the velvet bralette route, but you could totally dress it down or make it more conservative with a full length camisole.

  1. Food looks absolutely scrumptious! And yes to mesh tops. I really love them, with a good bralette underneath, you can wear them pretty much anywhere. But of course a dinner setting is preferable hah! Glad you had a great time xx
