I am so happy that Broadway is back. If you ask me that was a real tragic loss during COVID and I really felt for the industry as other things were able to open up while the theaters stayed shut down. I finally got the chance to see a show and took advantage of finally catching Harry Potter And The Cursed Child. It was absolutely fantastic and really impressed me. I won’t give away any spoilers other than it deals with Harry Potters adult life. It really has a great story line, so many plot twists, and amazing effects. I highly highly recommend checking this one out. Brace yourselves though, it is kind of a long one.

For a pre-theater bite we checked out Tonis Di Napoli, a classic spot in the theater district with rave reviews and fans. It is very old school feeling with that ambience of not having been rennovated since opening, but that definitely works for this kind of place. It is very authentic feeling.

All the food at Tonis Di Napoli is that all orders are served family style. We went with the veal saltimbocca which was terrific. I loved the sauce and the flavors and though it was cooked really well. For a pasta dish, we had agreed upon the shrimp linguini with luciano sauce which I believe is butter and shallots. In hindsite I think I would have chosen a different pasta option. It wasn’t bad. I think the shrimp was a touch overcooked and the sauce was good but could have wowed me a little more. Overall it was a fine option but with a menu like that serving up classic options you may be better off choosing something else.

Both desserts were actually excellent and made in house. The Tiramisu definitely had that punch of espresso but I really enjoyed that fact and the cheesecake was creamy and delicious. I think you should save room for them both.
