NYC Underground Hotspot: The DOM

Every one in NYC is always looking for the next big watering whole of socialites and underground spots that no one knows about, except New York locals. I think that the DOM is one of those very exclusive next big things.

The venue is definitely chic and upscale but gives you that underground urban vibe. It is very dark and moody but with all those plants also feels brightened up. There are lounge areas with tables for bottle service, a huge dance floor area, although when I went no one danced, and a beautiful bar space.

It is home tofamed cocktail artist Albert Trummer and I would definitely say that craft cocktails is the emphasis of this spot. Each is very unique and it not just a drink, but art. In fact they proclaimed themselves as the cross-section of art, design, music, and special events.

I will say every single cocktail I tried was delicious. Some favorites:

– Recovery Time
You can also ask your mixologist for a surprise and you’ll be very happy. I think amongst the three my surprise with passion fruit was my favorite.
