The Cabin NYC Brunch and Cocktail Review

The Cabin is a cozy spot out in Alphabet city. The venue is small with only a few tables and some bar space, but it is definitely picturesque. There are literally live trees in the middle of the floor throughout the restaurant and of course, the adorable swing towards the back. The food I tried was pretty damn good. I had the biscuits and gravy – delicious. The sausage gravy was so flavorful, and the biscuit definitely tasted homemade. I saw a lot of reviews about portion sizing being an issue. Not the case for me. I came hungry and couldn’t even finish all the sausage bits. My cheese platter came after the fact so I didn’t have space for all of it, but what I did try tasted good, fresh, and the platter it came on was adorable.

For drinks I had a Bloody Mary. They make their own mix and it’s spicy, just how I like it. From what I can see on the menu, they have an awesome cocktail menu. This definitely could be a great spot to come by for a drink during the evening too. The Cabin is available for dinner and changes up their decor seasonally. They just revealed their new winter setup so be sure to stop in and check it out!

Plaid, Houndstooth check, Buffalo checker.. it is all relevant this time of year and doesn’t always have to be the typical button down flannel. This off the shoulder top gave me “cabin” vibes and I just kept it simple with some blue jeans and a bold lip to change it up. I am not a big rain boot fan except for moto inspired ones.
