I’m not sure about you, but my father is a hard core carnivore. Like father like daughter I guess because there are few things I enjoy more than a good steak dinner. Benjamin Prime is the perfect location to treat yourself and your father to celebrate this Fathers Day. The aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful It is very classic but still modern and very spacious to boot. While you definitely feel like you’re in an upscale and higher end ambience, it definitely still feels comfortable and far from that cold stuffy vibe that some restaurants exude.

COLOSSAL SHRIMP w COCKTAIL SAUCE
As lovely as the restaurant was, sure enough the food also did not disappoint.
I had the East and West Coast Oysters as well as the shrimp cocktail. All of these were so fresh and delicious. It was definitely a great and light way to start off the meal. The prime salad was also exceptional. I really enjoy when a restaurant veers of the typical mundane salad options and throw in a few surprise elements. The crab that was added was also very fresh tasting and they were definitely generous in how much of it they added. I also loved that it was doused in a delicious and flavorful dressing. The portion size was also quite large and could easily be an entree for non- meat lovers or those looking for a lighter option.

JUMBO LUMP CRAB MEAT, BIBB LETTUCE, ARUGULA, RADISH, SPICY OIL
While you COULD, get away with the salad as an entree, I definitely wouldn’t stop there. I got the sirloin steak and it was perfection. With quality steaks, they really are able to speak for themselves. This one was simply seasoned but grilled to perfection. It had a melt in your mouth consistency and a nice crusty char on the outside as well for a little texture. The portion, again, was very generous and could easily be split with another person if you go the route of getting some appetizers, salads, and sides. I paired my steak with the creamed spinach which was a great accompaniment but I’d definitely look into some of their other options like the creamed corn with gouda and pancetta or even the lobster mac and cheese, just some of the things I have on my eye for next time.

From A-Z dining here was a wonderful experience and I don’t think you or dad will leave Benjamin Prime dissatisfied. I certainly left happy and will surely be back to try more of the menu.
