I am going to let you in on a little special secret. Elafonisos is one of the least known islands and my personal favorite. It has a beautiful powder sand beach and waters in so many shades of blues, turqouis, and greens with water shallow enough you can walk out through many of these shades. The main beach to visit would definitely be Simos, which is also a popular destination for campers.

Similarly to Neapoli, the sunsets here are absolutely incredible. Make sure when you visit that you stay for it!

While most people visit for the spectacular beach, Elafonisos does have other attractions includeing the sunken city of Pavlo Petri beween Pounta and Palopetri islet, now considered the lost city of the medettaranian, as well as the church of Agios Spyridon built on a tiny serpeance piece of land connected to the island by a bridge.
