Love, Like, Loathe: The Refined Slip

Trends, while they are nearly always promised to come back into fashion, are just that: trends. Meaning that after a few short months they cease in their popularity. One trend however that hardly ever goes out of style is the slip dress.

There is something so effortless about a slip dress. It is simple but is easily seen as elegant and sexy. It stands out on its own and also has amazing versatility. For my look above, I decided to keep things simple with these one strap sandals that really make your legs look elongated and also kept the jewelry minimal with long dainty necklaces. A nice smoky eye and glossy lip, and it turned out to be a perfect glam night.

The inspiration for todays post came from the debut of the new brand Refine, who’s designs are as of now exclusively all slips. For their first collection, there are only a handful of simple pieces in the neutral colors we love most, plus a nice pop of blue, and cute simple print (The Rachel Style). There are dresses, tops, and skirts plus the most adorable scrunchies and headbands to ensure none of that precious silk gets wasted.

I think that Refines release is something truly innovative by focusing on a niche – and a realistic one at that. The quality and cut is there and it is exciting to see the revival of sex appeal in one of its most laid back and rawest forms.

Cant wait to see what the future has in store for Refine and the slip dress trend.

I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
