Before the snow coated New York City, Michael De Paulo quite appropriately presented his new collection “Mystical Garden” at the 610 Loft and Garden overlooking Rockefeller Center. With contrasting vibrant hues and darker embellished ensembles, it reminds me of a Disney fantasy. “The garden was dark, yet full of life”, so to speak. With the inclusion of floral embellishments and vine textures, there was the feminine, whimsical female represented in the collection, and then the not necessarily villainous, but mysterious powerful and sexy women, also through the deeper colors and more structured silhouettes. Then there were times in which those worlds collide in a beautiful marriage, similarly in how a woman can and often does encompass both of those aspects. It was a fantastic collection.
