NYC Eats: Where Influencers Eat during NYFW MAMO

MAMO NYC - Nyc style influencer

With New York Fashion Week upon us as well as Valentine’s Day, everyone is going to be looking for that “it” spot to see and be seen or have a memorable night out.

MAMO has basically created a cult in NYC. The restaurant attracts celebrities, influencers, socialites, and tourists alike. Basically, if you know about it, you are either a regular or looking for the first opportunity to book a reservation. I finally paid a visit and it definitely lived up to my expectations. While the decor is nice, there is nothing overly glamorous about the space. It is simplistic and chic.

If MAMO has “a thing”, it would be their truffle dishes, so naturally I got both options and they were both delicious. The ravioli was so delicate and, while it was rich and creamy, I didn’t find it to be very heavy, and of course the overall flavor was also very tasty. The pizza was excellent, and with the addition of the cantal cheese it differentiated it from many other versions of white pizza that I have had. While they are definitely pricey entrees, which is expected with any truffle dish, they are not stingy with it at all and there is plenty of truffle in every bite.

For an appetizer we also had the cacio e pepe artichokes, which had a really wonderful char flavor and nice crispy and flakey texture. It has tons of flavor while also being a pretty light option, so that you can save room for all the truffle dishes.

The La Vie En Rose cocktail was really exceptional also. It was very refreshing and balanced. I highly recommend it along with the Dirty martini, if you like a classic option that definitely is more on the boozy side.

What says a Valentines Day date night outfit more than velvet? I am obsessed with the fit of this one and find the sweetheart shape to be so flattering. The corset top can be worn in a variety of ways – literally insert your favorite bottom style whether it be jeans, leather pants, a fitted skirt, etc. I personally went with a pair of black denim, but it is so versatile. I also wore some studded hoops and a leather jacket to add a little edge.
