If you are debuting in New York Fashion Week, take notes from Aiste Hong.
Taking place at one of the most exclusive locations in New York, The Harmonie Club, on the first week of fashion week, Aiste Hong debuted her first collection for Spring Summer 2025. The collection includes nineteen looks spanning across themes of modern classical couture, refined femininity and contemporary power dressing. Aiste Hongs style is specific to a type of woman, but a woman who doesn’t fall into only one style category. Hong says “I designed this collection to serve both purposes, to give women the ability to dress like a CEO or an off-duty super model and all the variations in between.”
The collection is chic and features those classic neutrals and colors that are foolproof staples in any wardrobe, but her unique silhouettes and color choices add the wow factor and the extraordinary elements to her garments. All the pieces are fantastic stand-alone and easy to mix and match within the collection itself, making it a very holistic collection and story. The garments are feminine but with a sleek sex appeal that doesn’t try too hard, but is definitely an X-Factor.
Her inspiration for the collection came from a dreamy nostalgia from an ancient folk tale of her home country Lithuania called “Egle Queen Of Serpents.” As a child spending time by her country’s seaside, Aiste observed the distinct waves of the Baltic Sea, and that inspired her draping, which is effortless and unexpected, fluid yet structured, unique and utterly beautiful..
The designer also notes: “The beautiful, strong women I design for know what luxury clothes should look and feel like. They accept nothing less and they shouldn’t.” Aiste Hong knows that her audience is of a high caliber. She sets a high bar of expectation both within her style, collection, and the show itself. These women are surely excited to see what is in store. I know I am.
