The rain never let up but it was definitely another great day of shows at NYFW.
A lovely and entertaining show by Nicole Miller. The theme in this one was Rock n Royalty inspired by British rockstars of the 70s and the rebellious British royals. We saw a great balance of edginess within the layered and mixed prints, but also pieces that were simple and sexy such as her line of little black dresses. Nicole epitomized the ultimate “cool girl”, who is pretty and feminine but takes no shit and is a little rough around the edges adding some grunge to her style.
I loved the Negris Lebrum show and it was very much within the Manhattan chic aesthetic. I love any good all black look, but these were excepttional. I love the outwear this season, and the mix of furs and leathers. I especially appreciate how effortless the looks are, and that they are realistic for the everyday woman. Sexy but not skanky, and somewhat simplistic but still glamorous.
