What I Wore To NYFW & Event Recap

nyfw recap fw25

A relatively light fashion week but does any one else feel that something was very off and just blah this season…? Hard to explain but there has definitely been buzz that New York Fashion Week has lost its luster and I am not certain I disagree. While I always love supporting designers like Aiste Hong and Frederick Anderson who I love as people as well as designers, and witnessed launches of brands like PUBLIC SERV-CE with tons of exciting potential, I do hope that by next season NYFW brings back that X Factor it once had.

Day 1:

On The Schedule

Woodford Reserve x Sergio Hudson

Not so much a fashion event but while it was hosted by Sergio Hudson I will count it as part of the week’s events. It was such a special evening getting to try their new Double Double Oaked Bourbon.

Style Tip:

Sexy and sophisticated, this blazer dress just felt very Sergio to me and I thought it would be perfect for the Woodford Reserve cocktail party he’d be hosting.

Day 2:

The Views from the Aiste Hong show
Pre show at Aiste Hong

On The Schedule

  1. Aiste Hong Show & Cocktail
  2. Made in New York x Modern Day Wife NYFW Event & Panel Discussion
  3. Diana Mahrach Show In Support Of the New York Women’s Foundation
Style Tip:

Aiste Hong’s last collection had sexy strong but feminine pieces. I wanted to embody that as well and there’s nothing more I love than an all-black sexy NYC look. It’s like a party on the top, professional on the bottom.

Day 3:

Beautiful presentation by Michael De Paulo
Michael De Paulo Presentation at the stunning 610 Loft & Garden
Public Serv-ce

PUBLIC SERV-CE Launch

On The Schedule

  1. Michael De Paulo Presentation
  2. FILIPINXT Presentation ft designers: Bessie Besana, Edited Limited Adante Leyesa, Bagoyan, and Tagpi
  3. PUBLIC SERV-CE Launch Party
Style Tip:

I always style my looks based on the designer I am seeing’s aesthetic. That is why I went a little glam with the sequins and sparkle for Michael De Paulo. All black is always full-proof. For outerwear I added a pop of leopard since it is most definitely a huge trend this winter. Finally for PUBLIC SERV-CE I went more NYC streetstyle with some baggy jeans (I love the double waistband detail on this pair) and a leather vest which felt very on brand after seeing the collection.

Day 6:

At the Frederick Anderson Show
At One Night In Bangkok Show

On The Schedule

  1. Frederick Anderson Show & Afterparty
  2. One Night In Bangkok Show: Ft Designers Vinn Patararin, Matter Makers, Merge, and Vickteerut
Style Tip:

I was really feeling the chic all-leather look for Frederick Anderson. I also love to maximize the amount of looks I can get with pieces so that outfit changes are a little more seamless from show to show and for different events. I too off the leather top and replaced it with a little leopard cardigan. If you haven’t picked up there were definitely through-lines in my style this season. For outerwear the all black all leather look was very urban NYC girl.
