Welcome to a New Year and what I hope is a new chapter for us all. I always look to level up and hope that this will be an even better year than last in what I deliver for all of you. With that said I always like to look back before moving forward and reflect on the past year. In ERA en Vogue fashion, the first post of the year is my five favorites of 2024.
NYC Experience:
Mercer Labs
Mercer Labs was by far the coolest experience I had in NYC. It reminded my a lot of my beloved Summit at One Vanderbuilt which I always recommend as the must to-do for out of towners or being a tourist in your own city. The exhibit was very impressive with all the effects and plenty of fun immersive and interactive elements. It is truly an experience of the future and my first favorite of 2024. Restaurant:
The Whitby Hotel
I love eating out and trying new foods but one meal that I think about again and again was the seasonal pasta dish at Whitby Hotel. It was a perfect execution of a pretty classic dish but with a nice kick of heat. Also, as goes ambiance it is so unique and trendy.
Beauty Product
Makeup Forever Hydra Glow Foundation
I mean just have a look at that glow. While it was tempting to include my newly purchased YSL lip Vinyl, this Hydraglow Foundation by Makeup Forever was my go-to for all important occasions, photoshoots and when I just wanted to look my best and know that my skin was going to look fresh and glowy. For some it might be too much or too slick but for me this foundation just makes me look genuinely healthy. Full Review Here
Fashion Buy:
Alice & Olivia Jeans
This purchase was a little random as I purchased them for my feature in GLAMOUR MAGAZINE (see here) although they spelt my name wrong LOL. But alas I was featured for my thoughts on the jeans and realized how much I do in fact love them. I think they are very cool girl and unique. The baggy jean look is one of the biggest trends lately but I think that this particular pair is on trend but a little more flattering than most and I love the double waistband detail. They are really unlike anything else I have in my wardrobe.
Hidden Gem:
Angel’s Share
Angels Share was a really cool experience with a cocktail menu that will surprise you to almost skip over everything and get a basic margarita. However I think that is what makes this cocktail bar so special. There is a true artistry and real creativity to the mixology of these cocktails. The ambiance is of course moody and very Im cool and in the know about things to do in New York. Speakeasys are all the rage this year, so you definitely check that box off. It is by no means a tourist trap but still feels very lively, trust me getting a table isn’t exactly easy. But it is definitely worth making an effort to check out in the city.
